Finding a Psychologist
Thank you for visiting my webpage. If you are reading this, you might be searching for the right psychologist for you or someone you love. The process of searching is not always easy. The good news is, finding the one that is right for you, will make it well worth your effort.
I believe beginning therapy is one of the most challenging and rewarding decisions a person can make. Regardless of what brings someone into treatment, a good fit between client and therapist is essential and forms the foundation of therapy.
I hope you will find this site helpful. I also invite you to contact me directly to provide further information or discuss any questions you have. Talking on the phone and meeting in person will provide the most insight to you about whether I am a good fit.
I opened my practice in New Orleans in 2003. I obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2001 and completed predoctoral and postdoctoral training at Vanderbilt University’s Psychological and Counseling Center. I continued to work at Vanderbilt as a clinician, supervisor and as the Director of Assessment Services until August 2003.
My practice focuses on providing individual therapy to adults and adolescents. I devote a portion of my practice to working with couples. Additionally, I conduct assessment for purposes of admission into private school.
I love any opportunity to teach or conduct outreach. I presently serve on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Tulane University School of Medicine. I previously served on the faculty at LSU Health Sciences Center and Loyola University’s City College.
My practice has been organized as a limited liability company. Arian Elfant, LLC was formed in the state of Louisiana and is the business entity through which services are provided.
